Jacqui's Captive Bred Tortoises

May 2011 saw the completion of my new Hermans house. My wonderful hubby completely built the set up, the house is insulated to a high standard then boarded over, it has thermostatically controlled tubular heaters, CCTV, alarm system to house alarm and is built to a high and secure standard. Attached to this is the large Hermans new garden, with rockery, weed patch and a large dry sand/stone area in front of the house (which was not completed when the pics were taken, more pics to follow!) The new set up allows the group to go in and out via a hatch, graze on tortoise friendly plants, bask under thier lamps as they need to, it has a larger nesting box and a riased area for the baby hermans to live in. All in all it is a pretty cool set up. They moved into it on 15th May and seem to be really happy.
