Sorry, asolutely NO visits to our home in order to protect my group. My tortoises are family pets and I would not risk any compromise to their safety or health.

My address details will not be disclosed, and my geographical location will reamain general, so please do not ask for this.

No Vivariums. Glass tanks are for fish not tortoises!

Expectation of communication by email or telephone first, in order to establish if your planned set up is suitable and if you have completed enough research to realy understand the needs of this enigmatic creature.

Expectation of name address and contact details for delivery and my records.

Expectation of pictures of set up for baby tortoise to be emailed or sent to my mobile phone prior purchase.

Please note: I reserve the right to cancel off anyone on my waiting list if i find they are not able to provide a suitable home & suitable care for one of my babies. I also reserve the right to cancel if i am "messed around" by anyone as I always have genuine people waiting on my list and never breed enough each year to meet demand, as I only have babies when my ladies would naturally have them in this wild. This excludes hibernation time!

No babies leave my care until they are old enough, big enough and until I am confident that the new family has the correct knowledge and set up waiting.

Please do not contact me for impromptu birthday presents of tortoises for family members or freinds as I will not re home them under these circumstances. In my experience "surprise" pets end up "unwanted" pets.

NB: whilst I incubate all my eggs  for females and tortoises are environmentally sex determined, it is never 100% guarantee, so any families having 2 babies off me must be aware of the risks of ending up with one of each sex or 2 males, as you can not tell until they are a few years old. I am not directly responsible for the sex of the babies only the incubation temperatures!

Important notice:

Some people who have contacted me to have a tortoise, have chosen to listen to the advice of pet shops, who are only dealers, and as a result have not set up an enclosure that meets with my specifications. as a result it had cost those people more money when I have refused to allow one of my babies to go into incorrect substrate, have an incorrect diet (eg pellets) or have bought an enclosure that is not suitable. I do reserve the right and have exercised this, to refuse one of my totoises going to these people as the WELFARE is paramount!

In the long term pet shop advice and set ups kill tortoises!
