Jacqui is a lovely and caring breeder of the most enchanting little creatures you're ever likely to bring into your family, I researched tortoise species and their requirements vastly and for a good few years before deciding to definately take the plunge and buy myself some babies.
 
Despite my research, as someone who'd never kept tortoises before I was very eager to be reassured what I'd made would be right for the torts. Unfortunately what I'd made was far too big for babies (although excellent for adults) and Jacqui suggested if I put them into my outdoor enclosure I may not be able to find them. She was more than helpful in recommending the large rabbit cage as indoor and smaller scale outdoor accommodations as an alternative. Which has, and still is serving them well, although I'm sure I'll be making a far larger indoor table type setup for them come their second birthday.
 
My three Baby Herman's are now just over a year old, they are fit, very active and healthy smooth shelled specimens which have grown at a steady rate from their birth till this day. It is greatly reassuring for me to have in my possession all of their growth records from hatch, which I myself have regularly maintained.

By buying from Jacqui you won't be disappointed and I have come to think of her as a friend within the tortoise world, who if ever I need a second opinion,  I can call upon and who will be more than glad to give ongoing help. I am also considering buying more babies from her and would recommend her to anyone considering buying a tortoise and keeping it correctly.
 
It is also very important to me to know that the animals I have, have never been maintained in a vivarium, fed fruit of any sort and were not wild caught or intensively captive farmed and shipped to the country. All of which are WRONG.
 
Since buying from Jacqui I have rescued tortoises, and look forward to breeding my own English captive bred, from English captive bred parents in the distant future. If I can do half as good a job with my torts as Jacqui does with hers and be an equally good ambassador for tortoise husbandry and welfare, I'll be over the moon.

Hi Jacqui,  I have to say your website is fantastic.  No wonder you have a waiting list.  I constantly use it to look little things up and I love checking out all the photos on there.  It’s so helpful to be able to look at your setup and see how I can improve things.  My tortoise table I brought of ebay went mouldy!  There was mould growing on the bottom after two weeks that spoilt my carpet.  I have a four foot rabbit cage indoors now and a five foot outdoor pen.  It was great to look at what you have and then replicate something similar.  I think all new tortoise mummy's want to do the right thing and its so handy to have information I really trust available.

Hi Jacqui

I would really like to thank you for the new addition to our family, Claudia is a healthy happy little girl and that should be 100% credited to you for the love, care and attention she was given in the early stages of her life.

I have wanted a tortoise for some time and when I finally decided to make the commitment I started to research on the internet. Frankly I was horrified by what I found! For example, it seems to be fairly common practice to send tortoises via couriers packed in boxes! When I questioned this with a particular breeder they simply could not understand my issue!

Luckily I found you, completely by chance. A friend of mine had suggested why not re home a tortoise and that is when I found your number on the internet.

And all I can say is what a breath of fresh air, I instantly knew that you do what you do for the love and preservation of these wonderful animals not financial gain! I felt like I was being interviewed to ensure the welfare of my new addition and then felt honoured to be able to take on one of your babies.

If only there were more people on the planet that show such love and respect for other living creatures the way you do!

Jacqui: Since I first contacted you regarding the possibility of acquiring a tortoise for my son, it has been an exciting and wonderful experience.
From the advice that you gave about what we needed to consider before  committing to becoming an owner as well as the setup that we needed to create in order to care for the tortoise properly.  To then get the  phone call to say that our baby had been born, to see the first
photographs and to have weekly updates on her progress, has been thrilling.  It has been well worth waiting for her.  She is adorable.

From the very beginning there was constant emails and help from her and with all her experience I knew I couldnt go wrong.
